Susan is the Principal Adviser at AgeWise Financial Planning, which provides specialist advice for retirement living and aged care solutions. AgeWise is based in Greensborough, but also offers in-home or Zoom consultations.

Susan is passionate about ensuring that clients understand their options and make the best decisions when making major life moves.

She started her career in the corporate world, working for 20 years as an engineer, project manager and product manager. She then decided she was ready for a change, wanting to work with and help people on a one-to-one basis. So she re-trained and has been working as a Financial Planner since 2011, specialising in retiree and aged care clients, launching AgeWise Financial Planning in 2018.

Susan’s Financial Planning qualifications include a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Susan also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Masters in Business Administration.

Initial consultation fee is $750 if held in your home, or $550 if you come to our Greensborough office or we meet by Zoom or phone. After the initial consultation, we can confirm what the best next step is. This may be a Strategy Paper (standard fee of $1,650) or detailed advice. Our standard detailed advice fee is $3,850 (but this can vary depending on complexity).

Susan ability to communicate precisely and succinctly via email and text ensured I always had a clear understanding of the advice she was giving me and what was required of me to assist her in managing mum's assets. Her knowledge of how best to maximise Government Assistance along with the most appropriate means of managing mum's assets while she was in aged care was exemplary and ensured the beneficiaries of mum's estate received the maximum from her assets managed by Susan.

There is no doubt about Susan's complete knowledge of Aged Care which is why I was meeting with her. To many of us it is a very confusing subject but Susan was able to explain clearly the technicalities whilst also putting up options as comparisons.
