Simon James

Simon James has been a part of GEM Planning since 2008. In 2009 he became a general insurance adviser at GEM General Insurance Services Pty Ltd and provided advice on general insurance products for two years. He moved on to become a Financial Advisor at the beginning of 2012. As of 2018, Simon became a director and is one of GEM Planning's most senior advisors. One of the most important lessons that he has learned over his career is understanding the needs of clients and recognizing that everyone’s economic and life situation is unique. Simon shows great empathy with his clients and is proud to be a part of a company that provides personalized service. He has a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and currently studying for his Master's in Financial Planning. Simon is married and shares his life with Laura, their daughter Rosa, their son Rafael, and their two dogs Diego and Eve. They enjoy an active life of traveling, spending time with friends, and being outdoors. Simon is also a patrolling and competitive member of the Grange SLSC which he has been involved in for over 20 years.
