Marijana Ravlich

I am a financial planner and director of Life Financial Planners Pty Ltd.

I started my career originally as a stockbroker in 1997. As a mother with two small children, I quickly learnt that being a Stockbroker and an over-the-top Croatian mother - something had to give. At the time I was also studying and as a result of my extensive reading, it became apparent to me that a move sideways from Stockbroking to Financial Planning was going to be both personally and professionally advantageous. I made the move in 1999 and have never looked back.

My work/life balance has afforded me the luxury of being a hands-on mum without jeopardising my level of service and commitment to my clients.

In 2004 I stepped out and started my own business and by 2006 I felt ready to go the whole way, so I applied and was granted my own Australian Financial Services License (AFSL). This has allowed me to provide my clients with a more personalised, unbiased level of advice without being dictated to by any large institution or organisation.

I love the relationships I have built with my clients and have found so much satisfaction in being able to work with them and see them achieve their goals. I have made some nice friendships over the years. It’s so important to understand what’s important to them and to give them peace of mind and confidence in achieving those goals. This, to me, confirms that I made the right career choice back in 1999.
