Having worked in financial advice since 1988, always for others, I felt it was the right time to go out and be my own boss. Over the years I have often thought about setting up my own financial services business, and having recently turned 59, I knew that if I didn’t make the move soon, it would be too late, and I didn’t want to have regrets later in life for not giving it a shot. I have
so many ideas of how to build a great business that can really help to make a difference in a lot of people’s lives, and I think that Dorset Wealth Management will provide the platform for me to do this.
My approach to investment.
Individually crafted portfolios: My deep knowledge and experience allows me to develop tailored investment strategies for each client, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach. I focus
on understanding the unique goals, risk tolerance, and circumstances of each individual to build unique portfolios that align with their financial and personal objectives.
Strategic risk management: I skillfully balance growth and defence, with a keen understanding of options strategies and asset allocation. I aim to manage risk while optimising performance for each specific situation, considering the client’s time horizon and investment needs.
A long-term perspective: My focus on long-term wealth creation reflects a belief in the benefits of time in the market. I am committed to sustainable growth, steering away from speculative trends, and prefer investments rooted in solid fundamentals.
Diligent research and data-driven decisions: My approach is grounded in rigorous analysis, whether assessing free cash flow or evaluating various market conditions. I
emphasise making informed, thoughtful investment decisions tailored to the client’s situation.
Diversification and careful structuring: I value the strategic use of various investment vehicles—superannuation, trusts, companies—ensuring tax efficiency and tailored
outcomes for clients. My portfolios reflect a deep understanding of the nuances of different structures and their impact on clients’ financial goals.
Client-centric focus: My emphasis on behavioural finance and personal goals reflects a dedication to helping clients achieve outcomes that are not only financially successful but also aligned with their broader life aspirations.
