Jo has been an active member of the financial planning community ever since moving to Australia from New Zealand in 1988. She chaired the Cairns Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for several years before taking up a role with the FPA’s National Strategic Committee.
Jo has also worked on projects with the Australian Investment and Securities Commission (ASIC) and provided submissions to the Senate.
A great believer in education and starting early, Jo has delivered basic financial planning courses to year 11 and 12 students as well as speaking at conferences.
In 2000, Jo joined Anthony Menico to form Menico Tuck Financial Services. In 2009 they merged the business of Fred Parrish Financial Services, creatively calling their new entity “Menico Tuck Parrish Financial Services” which was renamed “MTP Financial” in 2019.
Jo is a keen cyclist, having participated regularly in the Cairns to Cooktown “Cardiac Challenge”. And of course, being a Kiwi, she is a proud supporter of the All Blacks rugby team!
