Jenn Laing

Jenn is a provisional financial adviser who started her career in financial services with Modern You Financial Planners in January 2023. She commenced her professional year under the supervision of Daniel Jackson in March 2023 and is currently in the process of completing professional year.

With a passion for numbers and a desire to help others succeed, Jenn started her Bachelor of Accounting (majoring in Financial Planning) at CQUniversity in March 2020. In June 2023, she finished her degree, graduating with distinction and academic awards in retirement planning, superannuation, and financial plan construction.

In October 2023, Jenn was announced as a finalist in the FAAA Rising Star of the Year award after only nine months in the industry, competing against finalists who had been in the industry for up to four years.

Jenn loves working in the financial planning industry because she wants to help people understand and manage their finances. Her favourite task is nerding out on balancing a portfolio to a client’s risk profile. Aligning with the MYFP core values, she believes in keeping her promises, acting with integrity, and treating everyone like a human being and with respect. She also believes in going the extra mile for causes she believes in. Jenn aspires to complete her professional year by December 2024 and become an authorised representative and business partner, together with Daniel Jackson, at Modern You Financial Planners.
