Jackson Harvey

Jackson Harvey is a Financial Planner with more than ten years of experience in the industry.

In 2021, he joined the Hood Sweeney team, driven to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Jackson believes that by improving financial literacy, he can alleviate the stress associated with money and enable his clients to truly enjoy their lives. Having gained experience in administration and technical roles, Jackson’s sound understanding of the financial advice process and investment management knowledge benefits his clients.

With clients ranging from those in the first half of their financial journey, through to clients who are planning for, or already in retirement, Jackson takes the time to understand each client’s goals and objectives to ensure the outcomes meet their needs. In addition, he works closely with Hood Sweeney’s specialist Health team, serving medical and dental practitioners via education and advice.

A natural communicator, Jackson thrives on building strong connections with both clients and colleagues. He has a genuine passion for people and plays an integral mentorship role for individuals in the graduate program, sharing his insights and helping each of them navigate their path to success.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Jackson recognises the importance of balance in life. He prioritises time with his partner and their dog, Leo. He also prioritises staying fit, either through gym sessions, runs or playing cricket on most summer weekends back in the Barossa Valley, where he hails from.

An adventurer at heart, Jackson’s love for travel has taken him to various corners of the globe; 25 countries in total and he has plans to continue exploring the world as regularly as he and his partner can. “Immersing myself in diverse cultures and embracing new experiences broadens my perspective on the world which he believes makes me a more empathetic, open-minded and understanding person and, in turn, a better Financial Planner.”
