Orchard Financial Advice was created after I resigned from NAB Business Banking in 2019. I act as the Practise Principal and we hold a Corporate Authorised Representative license under My Super Future.

We are building a local business utilising technology that allows us to service our clients anywhere in Australia. We prefer face to face, however also offer appointments via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

I have many years of experience in providing advice to self-employed and PAYG clients. As the Practise Principal, I have specialised insurance, investment and pre-retirement strategy experience and we are licenced to provide advice in the following areas:

Asset, Income and Revenue Protection strategies
Investment, Superannuation & Retirement Planning
Aged Pension, Aged Care and Disability services

I live with my blended family of seven in Ipswich and am a member of the Ipswich City Rotary club and Ipswich RSL Sub Branch. Our children attended the local Grammar schools and my wife owns a small business in Ipswich known as Cute-to-boot.com.au

I have been employed in the Finance Industry since 2004 and obtained my Financial Planning licence in 2010. Prior to this, I was employed in the mortgage brokering industry and the Royal Australian Army.

From 1999 to 2013, I studied part time for by Bachelor of Business from QUT, an Advance Diploma of Financial Planning and a Diploma of Financial Services. I am also a Qualified Justice of the Peace and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

I continue to ensure my experience remains up to date with my ongoing studies of a Masters of Financial Planning and an ongoing Continuous Professional Development plan.

Tony considered several options to address the best management of our superannuation and assets as we head toward retirement. He has spent considerable time examining and assessing different perspectives of adapting our self managed super fund to give us the most tax-effective scenario. His job was not easy as he had to pick up from previous financial advisers that we had worked with over the years and to delve into our considerably complex financial history of our family trust. Accommodating with his time and availability, Tony has always been ready to be flexible with meetings so as to fit in with us. I feel that with Tony's and his colleagues assistance and advice we have put in place a good scenario for financial security going forward and financial independence for our imminent retirement.

Tony has been assisting me in managing my financial affairs for 15+ years. He has understood my financial needs across this extended period and guided me to a very comfortable retirement position. No guessing, no lucky breaks, we planned very early to arrive at this position and here I am. One of his most pleasing attributes is that he listens. If he doesn’t know the answer (and I don’t expect him to know all of the complexities of his trade) he finds out and gets back to me in a timely manner.
