Adam has extensive experience in the financial planning industry. He commenced working in the industry in 1999 with Colonial Financial Planning working as a Paraplanner. This was a technical and strategy specialist role which supported financial planners to provide comprehensive advice to their clients. He later moved to boutique firm ipac Securities which was a leader in the industry at the time in technical strategies and planning as a Paraplanner.
In 2002 Adam moved to a medium sized accounting practice that was aligned to Count Wealth Accountants. In this role Adam was the finance and financial planning specialist for the firm. He worked with the Partners to provide advice for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds including asset allocation and management within the funds. He also provided advice on wealth protection, financing and consumer lending.
In 2003 Adam moved to Tasmania with his young family and commenced work with Commonwealth Financial Planning as a Financial Planner. In this role Adam provided advice on wealth protection, wealth creation, pre-retirement and retirement planning strategies for the Bank’s diverse client base in the Hobart area.
In 2008 Adam was promoted to the role of Senior Financial Planner. In addition to the advice areas covered as a Financial Planner he provided advice in a diverse range of specialist advice areas including defined benefit superannuation and self-managed superannuation.
Adam is an experienced presenter and has provided education seminars for members of the Public Sector Superannuation Scheme and Commonwealth Superannuation Schemes. He has presented economic and market updates for members of the industry associations and on retirement planning for clients of the Commonwealth Bank.
Adam joined his current firm which was known at the time as Directions Wealth Management in 2016.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of New England and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University and the Financial Planning Association.
Adam is a Certified Financial Planner and a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia.
Adam is the father of three active children and spends a lot of time with them at their various sports and activities.
He likes to keep active in the gym and is a competitive cyclist (track, road and mountain biking) and qualified cycling Commissaire.
