I know I'm doing my job well when my clients tell me they feel in control of their money, and their money is not controlling them!

My greatest reward is coaching clients to behave financially in a way that's appropriate given their financial means - sometimes that involves spending less, but often, it involves encouraging people to spend more!

I love providing people with confidence to make big life decisions, but doing it with confidence - retire, make large purchases, travel, house changes or renovations or give gifts.

Pre-retirement planning is so rewarding for clients and for me. There are huge strategic opportunities to add financial and emotional value ahead of retirement - the biggest change since starting a career decades earlier.

As my longtime Adviser Scott reviews my pension(ex superannuation) at least half yrly and also ad hoc.I am always comfortable as to Scott’s advice and more broadly the resources Horizons wealth team and tools bring to enable the most favourable outcomes which ensure my financial position now and well into the future. Nonetheless I am grateful to Scott in reaching out to Horizons Stakeholder providers: Nick and John(Aspire Buyer Advocates)Lindsay Gordon (Lawyer- will, POA, Guardianship etc preparation, assisting me in role as executor my Dads deceased estate) Lindsay onreferred me to Joan Lentini, Complete conveyancing & Corporate Services in the sale of Dads home and more recently the sake of my home and conjoint purchase of new home.Also Scott reached out on my behalf to Joy Bryant & team at ACP Health Care Services. Whilst Joy and team spent many hrs with me in backgrounding Dad(Richard A PAYNE) to have some prep if/when he needed permanent residential care, when it happened and Dad was hospitalised for a finite period Joan was a very supportive advocate to negotiate with Cabrini to continue Dads care(private cover) and simultaneously identifying a suite of facilities for me and siblings to tour and choose.
